GTA WEATHER HISTORY for lawn and garden care
The following data is accurate GTA weather history compiled on behalf of LawnSavers for our clients by an Independent Meteorologist based in Ontario for the GTA area.
Tracking accurate rainfall & temperature helps grow healthier lawns by seeing what ‘really’ happened as opposed to what we feel or think, so we can modify our plant health actions accordingly. Please review this accurate rain and temperature data to compare the climate challenges experienced for turfgrass lawns and gardens in our local Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with the needed growth factors. Data recorded at Toronto Pearson Airport.
(please review the legend on the right side of each map to understand the relevant symbols designed to correlate to the needs of lawns and gardens for example: each ‘raindrop’ represents 5mm of rain recorded that day- anything less will have no benefit your lawn or plants. Lawns need 1 inch (2.54cm or 25.4mm) of water per week.
